The grey trend is modern and crisp. Grey tones can be quite chilly on their own so to combat this, you should pick another warm colour to put with them. We’ve gone for a rusty orange hue, but the grey trend would work equally as well with yellows and warm pinks, among others.
Keep the modern feel of the room by choosing light finish furniture, such as our Tavistock oak 2 + 2 chest (7). Darker furniture can drain any light from the room, so keep it fresh and airy with lighter tones. For other pieces in our Tavistock oak range, including bedside tables and wardrobes, click here.
A soft grey bedding set, such as the rosa embroidered duvet cover from Marks & Spencer (1) will make for an inviting, comfy bed. Pair this with some luxurious throw cushions, such as the grey velvet cushion from House of Fraser (6) and rusty orange toned soft furnishings, such as the orange cotton cushion (4) and the velvet chevron bedspread (9) both also from House of Fraser to give warmth to the room. A grey rug like the ‘Orient’ rug from Debenhams (3) will tie the look of the bedroom together.
Lighting is hugely important in the bedroom, something soft and subtle will create exactly the right peaceful ambience for a relaxing sleeping area. The smoky grey tones of the lamp from Debenhams (5) make it a perfect fit for a grey trend bedroom.
Finish off the look with a cherished photograph in the grey box frame from Marks & Spencer (8) and keep your treasures safe in the trinket box, also from Marks & Spencer (2).
